Local Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty cars have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Cars, building surfaces and mailboxes were vandalized, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they stated in a statement.
Officers state they were notified late on Wednesday, when a individual noticed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued fluid.
The fluid had been applied in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they reported.
Law enforcement then discovered numerous other smeared automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.
Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.
Officials say initial examinations suggest the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.
"Currently there is no indication as to its source; investigators are currently not cognizant of any injuries in connection with the event," they added.
Municipal representatives stated they were working "to resolve the case" and have requested to the community for information.
An important political figure commented the attack left him stunned and required to be solved promptly.
"This incident hits the core of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine victims by a assailant focusing on people of foreign heritage in 2020.
